Who we are:

The Peace Path Initiative Organization has signed a cooperation agreement with the Yemeni Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation to operate in Yemen. The organization is hosted by the Human Rights Research and Education Center at the University of Ottawa in Canada and also has a country office in Aden, Yemen. Additionally, the Peace Path Initiative Organization holds special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council and has observer status under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

PTI supported Yemeni WHRDs living in 15 different countries including Yemen.

PTI disbursed 26 Feminist Fund Grants to women peacebuilders to support their peace work.

Psychosocial support sessions were provided to 27 women HRDs in Yemen and the diaspora to support their resilience.

PTI supported 23 WHRDs in distress with protection grants, documentation, and psychosocial support.

Our current focus

The Peace Track Initiative has developed a dynamic database of Yemeni Women Experts, currently including more than 120 profiles of Yemeni women leaders working in different fields, and with diversified backgrounds.

A women-led, grassroots-centered, first-of-its-kind guiding framework, the Feminist Peace Roadmap lays out a comprehensive plan developed by Yemeni women to move towards a future of inclusive peace, justice, and human security in Yemen.
